Moss & Fern
Always having a fascination with flowers, Moss & Fern was established in 2019 as a cut flower growing venture that quickly evolved into a design studio. That time growing has influenced me to not impose my ideas on nature, but to let it guide me.
Today, my designs are influenced by the way a stem will curve towards the light when growing, the highly textured appearance of a meadow and the overgrowth of clematis rambling across a tree branch. Always striving for a continued evolution of design, showcasing the in-season flowers of our local farmers, Moss & Fern’s approach is to create harmonious, yet striking designs that are reflective of the season.

Denise specializes in creating site specific, nature inspired and seasonal designs through thoughtful collaboration. Taking a sustainable and ethical approach by composting, omitting the use of floral foam and using seasonal and locally sourced flowers to design artful, modern florals that are meant to spark conversation and evoke a feeling. With an emphasis on locally sourced flowers, foraged branches, textures and fruits, we strive to create environments that are emotive, sometimes whimsically weird and wonderfully inspired.
